The spiritualist roots behind the comedy of Ghostbusters
In short: Before he became a comedy icon, Dan Aykroyd was immersed in the supernatural. This video explores how his family's personal history with séances and spiritualism shaped one of cinema's most famous paranormal adventures.
Dan Aykroyd’s interest in the paranormal was not merely an artistic choice but a lifelong immersion rooted in his upbringing. He grew up in a home where his great-grandfather, a spiritualist, regularly conducted séances.
