The exhibition 'Extinct and Endangered: Insects in May' features incredible macro images by photographer Levon Biss. Working alongside scientists from the American Museum of Natural History, Biss selected specific specimens from the museum's research collection to represent the ongoing decline of insect biodiversity.
As entomologists and biologists work to quantify the speed of population loss, this showcase aims to foster a deeper appreciation for these vital creatures. The collection highlights the urgent need to protect ecosystems before these essential species disappear entirely.
