The high-stakes race against the coming winter
In short: Autumn is often viewed as a period of aesthetic beauty, but this film reveals the underlying biological tension. It captures the frantic race for survival as animals prepare for the hardships of winter while the landscape undergoes a dramatic transformation.
The film explores the duality of autumn, where vibrant colors and abundant food coexist with the looming threat of winter. It highlights the transition from life to death, showing how every creature in forests, meadows, and gardens must navigate a period of dramatic challenges and environmental dangers.
By observing these habitats, the footage captures a specific tension that is rarely visible in other seasons: the urgent need for animals to secure resources and find safety before the weather turns.
