A German discovery reshapes our map of dinosaur evolution
In short: The discovery of specific dinosaur tracks in Northern Germany has forced paleontologists to rethink where these creatures thrived. This film follows a team of experts as they use 3D animation to reconstruct the lives of these prehistoric giants.
The find in Obernkirchen, Northern Germany, features tracks from the Deinonychosaur. This fierce, feathered carnivore was previously only known to have existed in America and Asia. The presence of these tracks suggests that Northern Germany may have served as a significant center for dinosaur evolution.
Paleontologist Annette Richter and her team lead the effort to interpret these remains. By combining field research with high-end 3D animation, the documentary aims to recreate the prehistoric world and bring these creatures back to life for a modern audience.
