A year spent observing a family of thirteen polar bears
In short: Wildlife cameraman Gordon Buchanan embarks on a dangerous mission to gain the trust of a polar bear family. This video captures the crew as they are surrounded by thirteen bears, including cubs and their mothers.
The footage follows Gordon Buchanan's ambitious attempt to observe the lives of these enigmatic animals like never before. By spending a year attempting to gain the trust of a specific family, Buchanan aims to provide rare details of their family life, a feat previously difficult for scientists and filmmakers who have mostly only caught fleeting glimpses of individual bears.
