In short: Witness an extraordinary moment of cooperation as humpback whales and orcas set aside their rivalry to hunt a massive shoal of herring together.

Taken from the 2023 production 'North Atlantic: The Dark Ocean', this footage captures a rare instance of interspecies cooperation. While these predators are typically rivals, they are seen here joining forces to feed on herring.

The film, captured by underwater cameraman Ken O’Sullivan, explores the deep, dark reaches of the North Atlantic. Beyond the spectacle of the hunt, the work highlights the pressing challenges involved in conserving the ocean's diverse marine life.
