A queen's desperate gamble to save her cubs from nomadic rivals
In short: Watch the high-stakes survival of Manyari, a lioness who abandons the safety of her pride to protect her offspring from encroaching predators.
Manyari, the queen of her pride, chooses to lead her young cubs on a perilous odyssey into the wilderness. This bold move is driven by the threat of two young males who intend to seize the pride and kill the cubs. Isolated from the protection of the pride's males and her hunting sister, Manyari must navigate the landscape while badly injured and facing starvation.
The narrative follows the constant shadow of these marauding nomads who track Manyari's movements. The documentary highlights the selfless nature of her motherhood as she risks her own life to secure just a few more months of survival for her cubs.
