How snub-nosed monkeys fight for survival in China's frozen forests
In short: As winter approaches, food supplies dwindle in the forests of China. This footage captures the intense struggle of snub-nosed monkeys as they battle over remaining resources to fuel themselves for the harsh season ahead.
The video, part of the 2021 series 'A Perfect Planet' narrated by Sir David Attenborough, explores the high stakes of seasonal change. It documents how these primates must secure enough nutrition to endure freezing temperatures, often leading to physical confrontations over the last available food, such as pinecones.
