Survival of the fittest: the brutal winter struggle of China's snub-nosed monkeys
In short: In the freezing landscapes of China, food is scarce and shelter is non-existent. Watch as two families of snub-nosed monkeys engage in a desperate, potentially lethal battle for survival.
This footage from the BBC Earth series 'Seven Worlds, One Planet' explores the extreme conditions faced by snub-nosed monkeys. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, the episode examines how the continent of Asia shapes its unique wildlife. As winter sets in, these monkeys must endure intense cold and a lack of resources, leading to violent confrontations between families over limited meals.
