When the sun refuses to set, life enters a high-speed race
In short: In the far north, the rhythm of nature is dictated by a season of endless light. This video explores the frantic biological marathon that occurs when the sun never sets, forcing wildlife to maximize every second of the Arctic summer.
During the polar day, the Arctic is bathed in constant sunlight, creating a vibrant but fleeting ecosystem. Because the window for growth is so narrow, plants must grow rapidly and animals must rush to breed, hunt, and raise their young before the return of winter.
The documentary highlights how migratory birds arrive in massive numbers and predators utilize the 24-hour daylight to hunt. It captures the urgency of a fragile environment where every hour of light is a critical resource for survival.
