Turning an underpowered classic into a 400bhp carbonfibre masterpiece
In short: The Porsche 914 was never quite the success it aimed to be. Now, a UK motorsport firm has completely overhauled the original entry-level model into a high-performance restomod that defies its humble origins.
Fifteen Eleven Design, an offshoot of Mellors Elliot Motorsport, transformed the Porsche 914 by replacing its underpowered roots with modern mechanical components. The upgrade features a flat-six engine producing approximately 400bhp and a manual gearbox.
The restoration goes beyond internal mechanics, featuring a bespoke carbonfibre body. This extensive overhaul elevates the car from an entry-level vintage model to a high-performance machine worth £350k.
