Reconstructing the final 15 months of a prehistoric life
In short: In 1921, a remarkably preserved body from 1370 BC was found in a Danish field. This documentary uses modern science to reconstruct her final year of life, revealing a journey of courage and complex trade.
Archaeologists have pieced together the last 15 months of this young woman's life, documenting a dangerous trek across Europe that she attempted three times in just over a year. The investigation treats the site like a crime scene, analyzing artifacts such as a cup containing ancient beer and woolen clothing.
The findings challenge our understanding of prehistoric society by proving that Bronze Age trade networks were incredibly advanced. Her burial with prestigious grave goods suggests a high social status or specific cultural significance within an unknown epoch of human history.
