The quest to identify a snake that defies classification
In short: When a mysterious snake bite leaves doctors baffled, a herpetologist and a local expert must track the creature down. This video follows their journey into the wild to find a specimen for scientific study.
In Chiang Mai, a villager was bitten by a snake that remains unidentifiable to the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute. Because the initial carcass could not be categorized, the institute requires new specimens to study the species and develop a life-saving antivenom.
The search is led by Snake Master Nick Nirut and Professor Montri, a herpetologist. They are guided by the victim to the snake's specific territory to locate and collect the specimens needed for formal scientific analysis.
