Join wildlife filmmaker Bertie Gregory on a high-altitude tour of Vancouver Island. This episode captures the diverse web of life thriving where the Pacific Northwest's wild forests meet the sea.
The film provides a sweeping perspective on the island's biodiversity, featuring underwater footage of salmon and encounters with humpback whales, orcas, and Steller sea lions. The lens also captures terrestrial life, from eagle action shots to close-ups of raccoons and black bears.
Despite this wide-ranging survey, the mission remains incomplete. Gregory, a National Geographic Young Explorer grantee, is specifically searching for the elusive coastal wolves that inhabit this unique ecosystem, a quest that continues beyond this aerial exploration.
