The journey, documented by photographer Matthieu Paley, explores the deep connection between people and the natural bounty of the Atlantic coast. In Tyne Valley, Prince Edward Island, oysterman Jeff Nusty—a local mayor, musician, and former teacher—demonstrates the art of harvesting shellfish from the seabed. The expedition also moves into the forests of Bonshaw Hills Provincial Park, near Charlottetown, to witness 'landscape literacy' in action. There, expert Nick Chindamo demonstrates how to forage for edible flora, such as dame's rocket, by learning to read the landscape for its hidden flavors.
