In short: Born in Bissau, Armindo Tué Na Bangna, known professionally as Bruma, navigated a complex career across Europe's top leagues. From a prolific youth career at Sporting CP to high-stakes transfers and international appearances for Portugal, his path illustrates the volatile, high-reward world of elite professional football.

Bruma's professional ascent began in the Sporting CP academy, where he scored over 80 goals for various youth sides before his 13th birthday. His senior career launched in the 2012–13 season with Sporting's B team in the Segunda Liga. By age 18, he had made his official debut for the main squad, scoring his first Primeira Liga goal shortly after against Gil Vicente.

His talent commanded significant market value early on. Following a contract dispute with Sporting, he moved to Turkish club Galatasaray in September 2013 for €10 million. Later, in June 2017, he completed a €12.5 million transfer to German side RB Leipzig, with an additional €2.5 million bonus. His career has since seen him play for various clubs including Real Sociedad, PSV Eindhoven, Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, Braga, Benfica, and Aris.

On the international stage, Bruma represented Portugal at the 2013 FIFA World Cup for the under-20 side, where he earned the Silver Shoe as the tournament's second top scorer after netting five goals in four games. He eventually earned his first full cap for the senior national team on 10 November 2017, during a 3–0 friendly victory over Saudi Arabia.

The physical demands of the sport have posed challenges; in January 2014, a serious knee injury sidelined him for much of a season, and in July 2025, he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during the Eusébio Cup. Despite these setbacks, he has continued to compete at high levels, returning to Greece to join Aris Thessaloniki in September 2026.
