The acrobatic life of a mammal no bigger than a thumb
In short: Experience the world from a miniature perspective. This documentary follows Aelia, a harvest mouse navigating an organic meadow where her species once vanished.
Filmed entirely from the harvest mouse's point of view, the footage captures how these tiny mammals navigate a 'forest' of grass stems. They are described as acrobats that leap and balance like monkeys to survive in a world of giants.
The video highlights unique behaviors, such as weaving intricate spherical nests suspended in mid-air—similar to bird nests—to protect their young. It tracks Aelia's resilience as she faces threats from cats and accidental transport in straw bales.
