The invisible dance of electricity and magnetism

Electromagnetism - Magnetic Force: The Four Fundamental Forces of Physics #4b · 3:18 · Video: SciShow · Watch at the source

In short: This video explores magnetic force as a core component of electromagnetism, one of the four fundamental forces shaping our universe.

Electromagnetism is an intertwined force where moving electric fields produce magnetic fields and vice versa. It governs everything from the light that illuminates our world to the chemical bonds forming compounds and the electrons orbiting atomic nuclei.

While gravity is the most familiar force, electromagnetism is significantly stronger. However, because atoms are generally neutral—containing equal numbers of positive and negative charges—this force often balances out in large objects. It only acts on charged particles, with interactions determined by whether those charges attract or repel.
