A direct line from the International Space Station to the classroom
In short: Experience a rare educational exchange as three astronauts from Expedition 35 speak directly with students about the realities of orbital life and scientific research.
On November 17, NASA's 'Destination Station' exhibit facilitated a live interaction between the Fernbank Science Center and the International Space Station. Commander Chris Hadfield, alongside Flight Engineers Tom Marshburn and Chris Cassidy, shared firsthand insights into the permanent human presence in space.
The session focused on the daily life and ongoing research conducted within the orbital laboratory. This initiative serves as a traveling exhibit aimed at inspiring the next generation by highlighting the wonders of ISS research.
