The final piece of a giant telescope arrives in the Atacama Desert

Watch the arrival of the last antenna for the ALMA project at its high-altitude site, marking a major milestone for this massive radio telescope array.

The arrival of this final component completes the set of 66 antennas on the Chajnantor Plateau in northern Chile. Located 5000 metres above sea level, these antennas will function together as a single, enormous telescope.
