Were the Druids magical wizards or simply misunderstood scholars?
In short: For centuries, our understanding of the ancient Celtic priests has been obscured by myth. This documentary examines how modern archaeology is finally peeling back the layers of mystery surrounding their sacred rituals and social roles.
Because the Druids passed down their knowledge orally rather than in writing, they left behind very few physical records for historians to study. This lack of documentation has allowed legends of 'wizards' and mystical powers to persist alongside historical inquiry.
The film explores whether these figures were truly magical or if they functioned as sophisticated scholars within Celtic society. By looking at recent archaeological findings, the documentary seeks to clarify their connection to nature and their specific roles in ancient civilization.
