In short: Bhavani Sre began her career in the entertainment industry long before she ever stepped in front of a camera. As a six-month-old infant, her vocalizations were featured in the 1995 film Bombay. Today, she is a recognized actress and playback singer, carving out a distinct path within Tamil cinema.

Born on April 4, Bhavani Sre comes from a family deeply embedded in the music and film industries. She is the daughter of G. Venkatesh and the playback singer A. R. Reihana. Her brother, G. V. Prakash Kumar, is a prominent figure in the field, working as an actor, producer, and music composer. Her early exposure to the creative arts started in infancy when her laughter and cries were recorded for the song Poovukkenna Poottu (Halla Gulla) in the 1995 movie Bombay.

Her professional acting career officially launched in 2019 with the Telugu web series High Priestess, which premiered on the ZEE5 platform. She transitioned into Tamil cinema in 2020 with a role in the film Ka Pae Ranasingam, starring Vijay Sethupathi. That same year, she expanded her repertoire by contributing her voice to three songs for the Tamil anthology film Putham Pudhu Kaalai. Her versatility continued to grow as she took on a role in the segment Thangam, directed by Sudha Kongara, for the Netflix anthology Paava Kadhaigal.

The year 2023 marked a significant milestone in her career when she was cast as the lead actress in Vetrimaaran's film Viduthalai Part 1. Her filmography continued to expand with the 2024 release of Nanban Oruvan Vantha Piragu, directed by Ananth Ram, who is known for his work in Meesaya Murukku. Most recently, she appeared in the 2026 film Vishwanath & Sons. While she has worked across different formats, the majority of her cinematic projects have been produced in the Tamil language.
