Beyond the family name: How Elettra Lamborghini forged her own path in entertainment
In short: Born into the legendary automotive dynasty founded by her grandfather Ferruccio, Elettra Lamborghini has carved out a distinct identity as a television personality and musician. From international reality show appearances to competing on the iconic Sanremo stage, she has navigated a career far removed from the world of luxury sports cars.
Elettra Miura Lamborghini, born on 17 May 1994, is the granddaughter of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the man who established the famous car manufacturing company. While she is an heiress to the family fortune and sister to motorcycle racer Ferruccio Lamborghini II, she sought a career in the public eye rather than the automotive industry. Her entry into the media landscape began at age 22, when she started appearing in reality television programs.
Her rise to prominence was fueled by participation in various international series, including the MTV productions Super Shore and Geordie Shore, as well as Gran Hermano VIP. By early 2018, she pivoted toward a music career with the launch of her first single, Pem Pem. This track saw commercial success, peaking at the sixth position on the Italian music charts. Following this momentum, she released her inaugural studio album, Twerking Queen, in June 2019. That same year, she took on a role as a coach and juror for the sixth installment of The Voice of Italy.
Her musical journey continued with high-profile appearances at the Sanremo Music Festival. In 2020, she performed the song Musica (e il resto scompare), finishing 21st in a field of 23 participants. She later returned to the festival in 2025, this time as a co-host alongside Miriam Leone, Katia Follesa, and Carlo Conti. By November 2025, she was confirmed as a competitor for the 2026 edition of the festival, where she performed the song Voilà and secured 26th place. Outside of her professional life, she married the Dutch DJ Afrojack on 26 September 2020 at a ceremony held at Lake Como, Italy, following their public engagement announcement in 2019.
