Despite a record-breaking 48–34 finish in 2007–08, the team narrowly missed the playoffs in a highly competitive Western Conference, marking the best record for a non-playoff team in league history.
The modern era of the franchise began with the 2009 drafting of Stephen Curry. This selection catalyzed a transformation that saw the team return to championship glory in 2015. The Warriors have since secured multiple titles, including back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018. Today, the franchise ranks third in total NBA championships and Finals appearances, trailing only the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics, cementing their status as a cornerstone of professional basketball.
