In short: In a school designed to transform orphans into magical weapons for war, 14-year-old Sheena Totsuki meets Mimi Kagari. Mimi is a mysterious student rumored to be the school's secret weapon because she is seemingly unable to die, even when injuries strip her of her human form.

Aono Nachi's manga, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day, portrays students at a specialised academy. The institution takes in orphaned children and trains them to serve as magical weapons. The narrative follows Sheena Totsuki, a 14-year-old student with unremarkable magic and grades, who finds herself roommates with Mimi Kagari, a girl whose carefree mannerisms mask an unimaginable power and a terrifying ability to revive herself after battle. Sheena struggles with her purpose due to her aversion to violence and her mediocre magical abilities. Meanwhile, Mimi's lethal combat skills and terrifying regenerative powers make her a formidable presence on the battlefield.

From August 2018 until December 2019, Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime published this work. Following its initial run, the manga moved to online serialization on PixivYurihime and Ichijin Plus. The work has gained significant recognition, receiving a nomination for the 2019 Next Manga Award in the print category and being featured on MyAnimeList's 2024 "You Should Read This Manga" list for its unique art and story. Kodansha USA is the official English-language licensee for the series. The manga has also been collected into nine tankōbon volumes.

Roll2 created an anime TV adaptation that broadcast between July 7 and September 29, 2026. While Takudai Kakuchi was originally slated to direct, his role was changed to creative advisor in February 2026, with Yasushi Tomoda taking over as director.
