In short: On the futuristic MetroPet Island, humans and talking animals coexist in a delicate balance. When danger strikes, a group of adopted pets transforms into high-tech heroes. Discover the inventive world of RoboGobo, where advanced technology meets the heartwarming mission of animal rescue and teamwork.

Brown Bag Films produced RoboGobo, a preschool animation developed by Chris Gilligan, which debuted on Disney Jr. on January 17, 2025. The story is set on MetroPet Island, a futuristic setting split into the City Side and the Wild Side. The narrative centers on Dax Maxwell, a young inventor with a cybernetic prosthetic left arm, who has adopted five pets to serve as a specialized rescue team. Dax's family includes his mother, Professor Millie Maxwell, an inventor, and his father, Dr. Vaughn Maxwell, a veterinarian. The island's social fabric is further enriched by residents like the pizza chef, Chef Polly, and the wealthy Dame Luxley.

The team, known as Team RoboGobo, consists of Allie, an Abyssinian cat; Booster, a blue Husky; Hopper, a purple rabbit; Shelly, a turtle; and Wingo, a red bird. Each animal utilizes a specialized Robo-Suit to perform specific rescue tasks. For instance, Booster’s suit features retractable roller-skate wheels for super-speed, while Shelly’s suit includes a removable shell that functions as a shield. Wingo’s suit allows for faster flight and the deployment of parachutes. The team's physical capabilities are highly specialized: Allie utilizes enhanced agility and claws, while Hopper benefits from increased digging and hopping power. Even the smallest members contribute, such as the bird Wingo, who possesses enough strength to lift others.

The series explores themes of problem-solving and kindness as the team faces various antagonists, such as Gimme Pig and Pupsicle. Following a renewal in June 2025, the second season premiered on February 16, 20<0xC2>6. This new chapter introduced Captain Shrimperton as a villain and upgraded the pets' Robo-Suits to include new vehicle forms, expanding the scope of their technological capabilities. The show's colorful cast includes diverse characters like the event organizer Clipboard Keith and the reporter Rubi. These inhabitants populate a world where even the villains, such as Mönkey Wrënch and The Slink, provide constant challenges for the heroes.
