In short: When the 25th season of Big Brother premiered on August 2, 2023, viewers weren't just watching a game of social strategy. A surreal 'multiverse' theme transformed the house into a collection of distinct realities, introducing unpredictable twists that challenged every HouseGuest's ability to survive the competition.

A promotional clip featuring Frankie Grande, Britney Haynes, and Danielle Reyes using a 'time laser' to enter the house introduced the 'Big Brother Multiverse' concept. This theme integrated four separate realms: the Scramble-verse, the Scary-verse, the Humili-verse, and the Comic-verse. These themes dictated the house's design, which included a 1950s pulp comic bedroom, a horror-themed basement bedroom, and an upside-down bedroom.

These universes provided the basis for several high-stakes game mechanics. For instance, 'Scary Week' featured a surprise Fake Double Eviction, where evicted players became 'BB Zombies' with a chance to be resurrected. The 'Humili-week' forced almost every HouseGuest to live as a 'Have-Not,' while the 'BB Power of Multiplicity' expanded the Power of Veto competition from six to eight participants. Other unique mechanics included the 'BB Power of Invisibility,' which allowed the Head of Household to operate in secret.

Following a historic 100-day run, the season finished on 9 November 2023. Jagateshwar 'Jag' Bains emerged as the winner following a 5–2 vote against Matt Klotz. Jag made history as the first winner to be voted off and subsequently saved by another player through an in-game competition—a feat achieved by Matt Klotz. Meanwhile, Cameron Hardin was named America's Favorite Houseguest, earning a $50,000 prize.

The production utilized an extensive surveillance setup, including 90 HD cameras and over 113 microphones, to monitor the HouseGuests' every move 24 hours a day. To celebrate the milestone 25th season, the show also reverted to an 'old school' jury format, consisting of seven members rather than the nine used in recent years.
