In short: Born in London and trained within the West Ham United Academy, Divin Mubama has experienced a rapid ascent through the professional ranks. From his early professional contract to a high-profile move to Manchester City, the forward's journey through the Premier League and Championship highlights a remarkable rise in English football.

Divin Saku Mubama’s journey began in Newham, London, where he joined the West Ham United Academy at just eight years old. His professional trajectory accelerated quickly; after signing his first professional contract on 28 October 2021, he made his senior debut on 3 November 2022, during a UEFA Europa Conference League match against FCSB. While his debut was marked by a somewhat unusual moment—an accidental own goal via a header deflected by Joyskim Dawa—his talent soon became undeniable.

By the spring of 2023, Mubama had established himself as a prolific scorer. He helped West Ham secure the 2023 FA Youth Cup, notably scoring a hat-trick against Southampton in the preceding round. This run saw him finish as the competition's top scorer after he netted his first senior competitive goal against AEK Larnaca on 16 March 2023. His domestic success was mirrored by international recognition, representing England through the under-15 to under-19 levels, eventually making his England U20 debut in October 2023 and earning an under-21 call-up in August 2025.

The summer of 2024 marked a significant structural shift in his career. Following the conclusion of his West Ham contract on 30 June 2024, Mubama moved to Manchester City on 29 August 2024 for a £2 million compensation fee. His time at City included a scoring debut in an 8–0 FA Cup victory over Salford City in January 2025. Subsequent loan spells saw him find success at Stoke City, where he scored a senior hat-trick in November 2025, before eventually joining Southampton on a season-long loan in August 2026.
