In short: A high school nickname turned into a Super Bowl endorsement. After a standout collegiate career at the University of Georgia, quarterback Jake Fromm navigated the high-stakes world of professional football, moving from the Buffalo Bills to the New York Giants and beyond.

Born on July 30, 1998, in Warner Robins, Georgia, Jake Fromm first gained attention as a standout baseball player, nearly reaching the 2011 Little League World Series championship. Initially pledging to Alabama after Rivals.com and Scout.com gave him four-star ratings, he later chose the University of Georgia instead. He originally intended to play for the University of Alabama before switching his commitment. His early baseball career saw him playing in front of crowds exceeding 25,000 people.

Fromm's tenure at Georgia was marked by significant milestones, including leading the Bulldogs to a 54–48 double-overtime victory over Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2018. This victory secured a spot in the College Football National Championship, where Georgia ultimately fell to Alabama with a score of 26–23. Over his collegiate career, he amassed 12,745 passing yards and 117 touchdowns. During his time with the Bulldogs, he was recognised as the SEC co-newcomer of the year. He also helped the team secure the 2017 Southeastern Conference Championship against Auburn.

The Buffalo Bills picked Fromm during the 2020 draft's fifth round as he entered the NFL. His professional journey has seen him move through various rosters, including the New York Giants and the Washington Commanders. In 2025, Fromm transitioned into a new professional chapter, beginning work as an insurance specialist. After being drafted by Buffalo, he later spent time with the Washington Commanders. His recent professional path included stints with the Detroit Lions.

Beyond the field, Fromm has dealt with public scrutiny, such as in June 2020 when he apologized for a 2019 text conversation regarding firearm suppressors. In 2021, he married his college girlfriend, Caroline Ostman, and later graduated from the University of Georgia with a finance degree in 2022. His high school nickname, inspired by a State Farm campaign, eventually led to a Super Bowl endorsement. He completed his finance studies in 2022.
