From a 2019 debut to the Tokyo Olympics closing ceremony
In short: Milet’s rise in the Japanese music scene is a masterclass in rapid cultural integration. Within just two years of her first live show, she moved from niche television themes to performing on the global stage at the Tokyo Olympics, establishing herself as a versatile powerhouse across anime, drama, and radio.
Milet began her professional journey in 2018, quickly building momentum with her major debut in 2019. Her first live performance took place on March 6, 2019, at Billboard Live Tokyo. During this timeframe, her public profile grew significantly as she gained presence across multiple platforms; she contributed music to several television series such as Joker x Face and Gisou Furin, while also supplying themes for prominent anime titles including Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia and Vinland Saga.
Her commercial breakthrough arrived with her first studio album, Eyes, released on June 3, 2020. The project was a significant milestone, reaching number one on both the Oricon and Japan's Billboard charts and earning a gold certification for selling 100,000 copies. To bolster its reach, she collaborated with notable figures like Toru of One OK Rock and Kamikaze Boy of Man with a Mission.
Beyond her musical output, Milet expanded her presence into diverse media formats. Starting in October 2020, she hosted the radio series Music Freaks on Osaka's FM802 station. Her versatility is further evidenced by her film debut in 2025 in the remake of Love at Second Sight and her participation in prestigious events like the NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen for two consecutive years.
Her ability to navigate different genres—from performing a cover of Edith Piaf's 'Hymne à l'amour' at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics closing ceremony to providing ending themes for popular anime like Frieren: Beyond Journey's End—highlights her status as a staple of contemporary Japanese pop culture.
