From a childhood curiosity to a multi-platinum voice acting career
In short: Inori Minase's journey into the world of voice acting began not with a professional audition, but with a child's simple question. After spotting a name in a stage play pamphlet, she set out to master the art of giving life to characters, eventually becoming one of Japan's most versatile performers.
Minase's path to stardom was paved by early interest and a bit of stage fright. While she joined her elementary school's theater club, she eventually withdrew due to self-consciousness. However, her ambition remained; she began watching anime in kindergarten and identified her goal of becoming a voice actress while still in primary school. Her big break came when her mother discovered a magazine advertisement for an audition, which Minase successfully passed to begin her professional journey.
Her career trajectory is marked by rapid ascent and diverse artistic output. After debuting in 2010 with minor roles, she secured major parts in 2014, including the lead in 'The Anthem of the Heart.' Her talent was recognized by the industry in 2015, when she earned a top actress accolade for her work in 'School-Live!' and 'The Anthem of the Heart.' Since then, she has voiced iconic characters across numerous franchises, ranging from 'Re:Zero' to 'The Quintessential Quintuplets.'
Beyond voice acting, Minase has established herself as a significant musical artist signed with King Records. She has released multiple singles and full albums, often involving herself in the creative process. For her 2019 album 'Catch the Rainbow!', she wrote the title track and collaborated on song selection and lyric requests. Despite facing challenges like online threats in 2016, she has maintained a consistent presence, hosting her radio show 'MELODY FLAG' for over 400 episodes and performing sold-out tours across Japan.
