In short: From the Wisconsin Badgers to Super Bowl glory, Rob Havenstein's career is a masterclass in consistency. As a cornerstone of the Rams' offensive line, he navigated positional shifts and injuries to become the final link to the team's St. Louis era.

Rob Havenstein’s professional journey began when he was selected 57th overall in the 2015 NFL draft by the St. Louis Rams. During his rookie season, he demonstrated immediate reliability by starting 13 games at right tackle without allowing a single sack. This performance earned him a spot on the Pro Football Writers of America's All Rookie Team alongside teammate Todd Gurley. Before entering the league, he played for the Wisconsin Badgers. He earned consensus 1st-Team All-American honours during his final collegiate season in 2014.

His career was defined by his ability to maintain high-level performance despite roster shifts and physical setbacks. In 2017, a potential move to guard was reconsidered after the trade of Greg Robinson, allowing Havenstein to remain the starting right tackle. He was a vital component of the Rams' most successful years, contributing to their Super Bowl LIII appearance and their subsequent Super Bowl LVI victory over the Cincinnati Bengals with a 23–20 win. He played a key role in the team's 2018 season, helping them secure the second seed in the NFC. His efforts helped the squad reach Super Bowl LIII.

Even as injuries like knee and ankle bursitis impacted his availability in later seasons, Havenstein's longevity remained remarkable. By the time he announced his retirement on February 10, 2026, he had appeared in 161 total games. Notably, he was the last player on the roster to have played continuously since the franchise was based in St. Louis. His later years included starts in the 2024 postseason. He eventually retired in early 2026.
