His collegiate career was marked by immediate impact and record-breaking performances. In his third game, he surpassed Archie Griffin's freshman single-game rushing record by totaling 277 yards on 24 carries. He eventually became a cornerstone of the Buckeyes, earning First-Team All-Big Ten honors after a season featuring 926 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. After moving to the NFL, Henderson was taken by the New England Patriots as the 38th overall selection during the 2025 draft's second round. His rookie campaign was nothing short of explosive. He matched an NFL rookie benchmark by securing four touchdown runs of 50+ yards in one season, including two distinct games featuring multiple long runs. This performance earned him the AFC Offensive Player of the Month honors for November. His breakout season included a notable performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he recorded two touchdowns. He also became the third rookie in franchise history to register three touchdowns in a single game.
Beyond the statistics, Henderson's journey is defined by academic and personal discipline.
