Would you know how to use a defibrillator in a crisis?
In short: Artist and first-aid enthusiast Todd Scott uses a playful, intergalactic lens to explain the essential steps for using an automated external defibrillator (AED) to save lives.
The video provides practical pointers on operating an AED and highlights the importance of accessibility in public spaces like offices, malls, and sports stadiums. Scott notes that finding a publicly available AED can be incredibly difficult, sometimes even more challenging than finding Waldo, and observes that you might see more than 20 fire extinguishers for every one AED.
Beyond technical use, the talk encourages viewers to actively locate these devices and to question why they might be missing from certain locations, as their availability is critical when seconds matter.
