The secret wild instincts hidden within our domestic pets
In short: We view our pets as family members, but they navigate a secret world of behaviors we rarely see. This footage uses advanced technology to capture the raw, natural abilities that remain in our household companions.
Using high-tech tools like thermal imaging, moving x-rays, and spycams, the series 'Pets: Wild At Heart' explores why only specific animals possess the traits necessary to live alongside humans. It highlights how these animals maintain deep links to their wild ancestry even in domestic settings.
The first episode focuses on how play serves as a gateway to an animal's wild side, while the second examines their enduring natural behaviors. A specific instance of this instinctual behavior is captured when a cat attempts to babysit its sister's 10-day-old kitten, leading to a precarious situation in a gutter.
