Could some of Earth's extinct species still be hiding today?

In short: Wildlife biologist Forrest Galante explores the possibility of 'Lazarus taxa'—species officially declared extinct that may still exist in remote, unexplored corners of the globe.

In this video, Galante uses his expertise as a wildlife biologist to rank 20 specific animals that he believes could still be alive. While these species are officially listed as extinct, the vastness of unexplored wilderness suggests that small populations might persist in isolation.

The presentation serves as a thought experiment on biodiversity and the limitations of human exploration. It highlights the importance of conservation and the ongoing mystery of the natural world.
