The front lines of a hidden war against wildlife crime
In short: Wildlife conservation is often framed as a peaceful endeavor, but it frequently mirrors a high-stakes conflict. This series follows Ivan Carter as he navigates the dangerous reality of protecting Africa's biodiversity from organized criminal networks.
The documentary explores the systematic exploitation of African wildlife, specifically focusing on the poaching of elephants for ivory and rhinos for their horns. It moves beyond general headlines to document the methods used by heavily armed poachers who target these valuable natural resources.
By following Ivan Carter—a professional hunter and wildlife detective—the series provides a firsthand look at the complexities of conservation. The goal is to expose the truth behind wildlife crime and illustrate the practical, often perilous, measures required to protect endangered species from extinction.
