Ivan Carter travels across four different countries to document the diverse roles required for modern conservation. The film moves beyond the animals themselves to highlight 'unsung heroes,' including rhino saviors, lion researchers, and entrepreneurs. It also explores the high-stakes security work performed by armed teams tasked with defending wild habitats from threats.
The documentary emphasizes that preserving Africa's biodiversity is a deeply human endeavor. By focusing on individual dedication and the specific challenges faced by these various stakeholders, it provides a comprehensive look at what it takes to devote a life to protecting endangered species.
