The jungle school where orphaned orangutans learn to survive
In short: In Indonesia, a specialized sanctuary serves as a classroom for baby orangutans who have lost their mothers. Watch how these primates acquire the essential climbing skills needed to navigate the wild.
Because mothers are the primary teachers of survival skills, orphaned orangutans face significant hurdles in the jungle. This footage from Indonesia highlights a rehabilitation effort where orphans are taught the mechanics of climbing and other vital behaviors.
