A history of the future: how we might end the climate crisis
In short: Sci-fi author Kim Stanley Robinson presents a message from the year 2071. Rather than a warning of doom, it is a narrative of restoration, detailing how humanity successfully united to repair the Earth's biosphere.
Robinson uses his perspective as a visionary writer to recount the 'history' of overcoming our greatest modern challenge. The narrative focuses on the collective human effort required to transition away from climate destruction and toward a restored natural world.
By framing the solution as an accomplished fact from sixty years in the future, the talk serves as a rousing vision for current action. It explores the possibility of global unity and the specific ways we might heal the damage already done to our planet.
