The fragile balance between Tibetan herders and elusive snow leopards
In short: High on the Tibetan Plateau, a rare reunion between a mother snow leopard and her nearly grown cub offers a glimpse into an unforgiving wilderness. This footage captures the delicate survival dance between humans and predators in one of Earth's most extreme environments.
The documentary follows a team tracking these elusive cats as they navigate a landscape defined by harsh storms and intense cold. The footage highlights the learning process of the young cub, who practices hunting and play while under the watchful eye of its mother.
Beyond the wildlife, the film explores the human dimension of this ecosystem. Local herders maintain a precarious coexistence with leopards and wandering bears, often relying on Tibetan mastiffs to guard against livestock attacks in a landscape where survival depends on mutual respect.
