The 2026–27 Hong Kong Premier League marks the thirteenth season of top-tier professional football.
In short: As the premier division of Hong Kong football, the 2026–27 season brings together eleven competing teams. This year features a historic milestone for one club, while established partnerships with global sportswear brands continue to define the league's professional identity on the pitch, from match balls to referee uniforms.
The 2026–27 Hong Kong Premier League represents the thirteenth iteration of the territory's highest level of professional football. Known officially as the BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League due to its sponsorship arrangement, the competition serves as the primary stage for elite clubs in the region. This season, the league structure maintains a competitive field of eleven teams, ensuring a rigorous schedule for all participants involved in the top division.
The composition of the league is determined by performance in the preceding season. The current lineup includes the ten highest-ranked teams from the previous year, supplemented by one club that earned promotion from the First Division League. A notable addition to the 2026–27 roster is Sha Tin, which is making its inaugural appearance in the Premier League, marking a significant moment in the club's history as they step into the top flight for the first time.
Professional standards are maintained through strategic partnerships with major sportswear manufacturers. Kelme remains the official supplier for the league, providing both the venue uniforms and the official match footballs used in every game. Meanwhile, the officiating crew is outfitted by Adidas, which supplies the professional uniforms worn by referees. These collaborations underscore the league's commitment to maintaining a consistent and professional aesthetic across all matches, ensuring that the infrastructure supporting the sport remains aligned with international expectations for top-tier football divisions.
