The Rascalz: A Decade of Professional Wrestling Alliances, Departures, and Championship Gold
In short: The Rascalz are a professional wrestling stable defined by a fluid roster and constant movement across major promotions. Since their 2018 formation, the group has navigated shifts between Impact Wrestling, WWE, and now All Elite Wrestling, proving that in the world of wrestling, loyalty is often as temporary as a title reign.
The Rascalz originated from the partnership of Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier, who first teamed in 2015. By 2018, they expanded their ranks to include Trey Miguel and Myron Reed. Throughout their history, the group has experienced frequent personnel changes, with members departing for other organizations or pursuing solo careers, only to reunite later. This instability has become a hallmark of their identity, as seen in their transitions through companies like Impact Wrestling and WWE, where Xavier and Wentz performed as Wes Lee and Nash Carter under the team name MSK.
Their impact on the independent circuit and major promotions is marked by numerous championship victories. Notably, their tenure in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) saw them hold the World Tag Team Championship for 1,025 days, the longest reign in the promotion's history. They have also secured titles in various organizations, including the CZW World Tag Team Championship, the Impact World Tag Team Championship, and the TNA X Division Championship. These accomplishments underscore their technical prowess and ability to adapt to different wrestling environments.
The group's narrative is further complicated by real-world events and internal tensions. In 2024, the stable faced significant upheaval, including the departure of Reed and the eventual return of Xavier, who had been performing as Wes Lee in WWE. By early 2026, the stable transitioned to All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor. However, the group's composition remained volatile, as Miguel was released from his AEW contract shortly after their debut. Despite these constant shifts, The Rascalz continue to be a significant force, frequently challenging for top honors across the professional wrestling landscape.
