In short: During an in-flight educational event, Canadian Space Agency Flight Engineer Chris Hadfield shared insights into life and scientific research aboard the International Space Station.

On March 11, students in Airdie, Alberta, participated in a remote session with Chris Hadfield while he was stationed on the International Space Station. The event offered a glimpse into the operations of the orbital laboratory.

The session took place during a period of crew transition. Hadfield was set to become the first Canadian commander of the station on March 13, succeeding NASA's Kevin Ford, who was scheduled to return to Earth on March 14 alongside two Russian crewmates.
