A rare direct line from orbit to the classroom
In short: Experience what it's like to speak directly with an astronaut. This video captures a unique educational exchange where students engage with one of the most recognizable figures in space exploration.
On February 15, Flight Engineer Chris Hadfield hosted an in-flight educational event from the International Space Station. While on this visit, he answered inquiries posed by University of Waterloo pupils located in Ontario.
This exchange happened at a key stage for Hadfield; having reached the site in late December, he was set to lead the space station as Canada's initial commander by mid-March. The event highlights the bridge between academic inquiry and the practical realities of life in low Earth orbit.
