A Midwest landowner unearths one of the world's rarest dinosaur fossils
In short: Clayton Phipps is not a professional paleontologist, but his land sits atop a prehistoric goldmine. This video follows his discovery of an incredibly rare fossil, offering a glimpse into how modern excavations bring ancient giants back to life.
The footage highlights the work of Phipps, whose American Midwest property serves as a site for significant paleontological finds. It serves as a prelude to the 2025 reimagining of 'Walking with Dinosaurs,' a series that uses pioneering special effects to tell character-led stories about prehistoric life.
The project features six distinct dig sites and six specific prehistoric heroes. By focusing on real-world excavations, the series aims to recreate the complex lives and behaviors of dinosaurs through high-end visual effects and a heavyweight cast.
