How the Cygnus spacecraft delivers essential supplies to the International Space Station

Cygnus Arrives at ISS · 8:08 · Video: NASA · Watch at the source

In short: Watch the moment the Cygnus spacecraft arrives at the International Space Station. This video shows the robotic Canadarm2 capturing the spacecraft to deliver vital provisions and scientific experiments to the crew.

The Cygnus spacecraft, launched via an Antares rocket from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, serves as a critical resupply vessel. On its maiden mission, it delivered 1.5 tons of cargo to the Expedition 38 crew.

After its stay, the spacecraft is scheduled to be installed on the Harmony module's Earth-facing port. Eventually, the spacecraft will be commanded to deorbit, where it will burn up harmlessly in Earth's atmosphere.
