A final walkthrough of humanity's most advanced orbital laboratory
In short: Before departing for Earth, NASA Commander Sunita Williams provides a comprehensive tour of the International Space Station. This rare look inside the orbital outpost captures the ongoing research and the complex infrastructure of our presence in space.
Recorded on November 18, just hours before her departure, Williams guides viewers through the various modules and research facilities of the International Space Station. The tour serves as a narrative summary of the scientific work completed and currently underway aboard the outpost.
The footage captures the station's interior as Williams prepared to depart with cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko and Flight Engineer Aki Hoshide. They traveled via the Soyuz TMA-05M spacecraft to land in Kazakhstan, marking the end of Williams's tenure as Commander.
