In short: Witness the conclusion of an era as the space shuttle Discovery prepares for its final journey to the International Space Station. This video captures the historic transition from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad.

The video documents the 'rollout' of Discovery from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. This final mission, which launched on February 24 at 4:53 p.m. Eastern, transported a crew of six including Commander Steve Lindsey and Pilot Eric Boe.

The Express Logistics Carrier-4 and Robonaut 2—a pioneering robotic space worker—were also transported by Discovery alongside the crew. It also delivered the Permanent Multipurpose Module, which contained essential supplies and spare parts for the International Space Station.
