The SpaceX Dragon marks a new era of orbital logistics
In short: Watch how the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft is redefining how we resupply the International Space Station, moving beyond the shuttle era to commercial cargo delivery.
This video highlights the 35th commercial resupply services mission for NASA. The SpaceX Dragon represents a pivotal shift in space exploration as the first U.S. spacecraft capable of transporting significant supplies between Earth and the station following the retirement of the Space Shuttle.
The footage covers the launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, where more than 6,300 pounds of cargo and scientific investigations were sent to orbit. It details the technical choreography of the mission, including the spacecraft's separation from the Falcon 9 rocket second stage about nine minutes after liftoff.
